Pomegranate Water

Have trouble drinking the daily recommended amount of water? Here is a great alternative.

Pomegranate water. 

How to make it:
It is very simple. Just take a pomegranate fruit or 2 or even 3. if you like,  put it on a jar filled with water and put it in the fridge for 2-3 days. After 2-3 days, take it out and drink up.

Don't like pomegranates? That's fine. Replace it with whatever fruit or combination of fruits that you like.

My hair jounrery


Here are some comparison pics that I compiled. I started my hair journey in 2009 with ver damaged transitioning hair. I NEVER DID THE BIG CHOP !!! lol I just simply STOPPED getting relaxers. Didn't know a Thing about hair. Three years later, after visiting multiple hair boards,, learning as mucha s I can, here I am at nearly BSL.
Since then my hair has had a few set backs. I left for college nd thought getting micro braids were a good idea. NOOO NEVER AGAIN!!! I had excessive shedding a loads of split ends and a lot of breakage . So I have been on the road to getting it back on track. I am currently in a hide your hair challege were I hide my hair in buns, braids, weaves for the next 5-6 months.



 
Hopefully this will allow me to retain a good amount of length for the summer.
With the weaves/extentions I usually keep them in for 10-12weeks MAX at  a time. Take them out and then let my hair out for a week then put it back in.. Sometimes I leave my edges out and monitor the growth of those

College Student Blues: Weight

I'm in my sophmore/junior yer of college and I am notice that I have been struggling with my weight. My goal weight is about 120-135..Yeah I'm a shortie. 5'2 woop woop lol. I am currently about 176. I have lost some weight so but I still have a long way to go. So for anyone else out there that is in college and struggling with their weight I feel your pain. I will be posting a series just for our struggle.

Trend Alert: Striped pants

I spy with my little eyes a new trend. Skinny pants with a single long strip down the side pant legs. WHo doesn't love fashionable bottoms? These cute and chic botttoms come in assorted styles, akled, tuxedo pants and I have even seen high-wasited. Keep a close eye out for these trendy bottoms.

It seems that mint green has been such a hit last fall season that it is coming back even stronger this spring and summer.
Contrary to popular belief Mint green is such a versatile color. It can be worn with just about any other color including other pastels and bright colors for a sweet and fun look like salmons, peach,


 neutral colors like tan/khaki and white for a simply chic look,

darker colors like brown for preppy look


or black for a more edgy look.
 When wearing mint green be sure to keep it simple. Don't make it look too busy. It is such a soft color you want to make sure tht whatever you wear it with you make sure the color POPS. Don't forget to accessories. Try a nice gold necklace or perhaps a cheetah clutch.
However you choose to ROCK IT make it your own.
